Army Public School (2014)
Army Public School (APS) in Peshawar is a well-known educational institution in Pakistan, primarily serving the children of military personnel but also open to civilians. It is part of a network of schools run by the Pakistan Army. APS Peshawar is located in the cantonment area of Peshawar, the capital city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The school gained international attention due to the tragic terrorist attack that occurred on December 16, 2014, when militants targeted the APS building, killing more than 140 people, including 132 schoolchildren. The attack was one of the deadliest in Pakistan's history and caused widespread national grief and outrage.
